school located in Fort Wayne, IN, has an opening for the position of 
senior tech specialist beginning July 1 (or possibly earlier, depending 
on the situation). A brief description of the position is below.

Note that this position involves Linux (Ubuntu) server administration as 
well as Windows client support.

Senior Technology Specialist, All Divisions

Reports to:
Director of Technology

Duties:

1.Responsible (with the aid of tech support specialist) for maintenance 
and installation of computers and related hardware and services 
throughout the school, re-imaging computers, arranging for repairs, 
network connections, inventory and routine maintenance

2.Share network/system administration with Director of Technology – 
management and maintenance of Linux (Ubuntu) servers providing file, 
print, mail, web and related services

3.Share management of telephone system with Director of Technology

4.Higher level "Help desk" support for student and faculty computer use, 
including troubleshooting hardware and software, arranging for repair, etc.

5.Primary responsibility for ordering/inventory of supplies and equipment

6.Teach one course per semester as needed

7.Share responsibility for after hours emergency maintenance with 
Director of Technology

Hours:
	Full time, flexible hours

Term:
	This position is a permanent position.

Holidays/Vacation:
	One half of school holidays and 4 weeks off in the summer.

Qualifications:
	Extensive knowledge and skills maintaining, supporting and 
troubleshooting PC hardware, Windows based desktop PC's, and Linux 
servers and desktops, intermediate to advanced network management.
