[ec2-beta] trouble with mounting snapshot volume on ami-814aaee8

Thanks for reporting this problem against beta1 a month ago.  I don't
think anybody responded to you at the time, but I have tested it against
beta2 and am able to mount an EBS volume created from a snapshot without
any trouble.

Please let the group know if you test and continue having problems with
the latest official Ubuntu beta images.
