[ec2-beta] Java install freezes instance

Thanks, that did it.

Is there any way to remove this offending java package safely? When I try to
apt-get remove it still freezes because it tries to configure the package,
and that's when it happens.
I just want to be able to use apt-get again and forget java for now :)
