[ec2] Stalled?

Is the effort to get stable ubuntu images stalled?

I don't much happening on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-on-ec2  or much traffic on this list.

Did I miss the official release of a Jaunty ami?  Are we on track to have a Koala ami in October?

The prospect of an official canonical ami with an updated kernel is very appealing, but it appears that this is going nowhere.

If it's a business priority thing, I'd happily pay some extra $$ for a canonical ami with support through the amazon devpay. That's what RedHat offer.
