<div dir="ltr">I agree though moving pages to an archive and putting a message on them saying hey this page is out of date or something of the sort, and putting them in an archive is the best way to go.<br></div><div class="gmail_extra">

Good question! It's a "301 Moved Permanently" so yes, it should be<br>
removed from search indexes once the redirect is set up.<br>
