I know there is one for ubuntu server stuff in the form of a pdf. that would be great if there was one for the desktop users included wiht the cd or available for download off the website just like the server guide is.

Is there anyway of getting this manual downloaded
to the desktop of the newly installed operating system
so the newbie or long time linux user has some documentation
from the start?

http://ubuntu-manual.org/downloads

I used ubuntu for ages, without
actually knowing there was
a on-line set of manuals.

I suspect there will be plenty of
others who are still unaware of the documentation.

Failing that could Firefox have
this page set as its default?

Kind regards
Hi everyone,

Inspired by how the Ubuntu Manual team does things, I worked with
Kevin today to put together a basic spreadsheet that folks can use for
tracking what they've reviewed in the desktop guide, so we make sure
everything gets reviewed and the same things don't get reviewed too
many times:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsSw0cKYcffNdFlFakF5M0VjR002UEVvakVPZGpydHc

If you could add your name/nickname to the Reviewer column for pages
you've reviewed that would be really helpful.

I'm going to invite some folks to give it a try in an upcoming blog
post about getting involved with the team.

Feedback encouraged :)
