Phil,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The page on h.u.c. has
really been the authoritative source on Grub2 so far - it is well
maintained and very detailed. Most of the material will probably apply
to the latest version of Ubuntu, and since we won't be releasing system
doc updates for previous versions of Ubuntu with the intent of adding
Grub material, this should be OK.

The system docs don't have much of anything about Grub, and provide a
link to the Grub2 page. Configuring Grub is a complex task in many
cases, esp. now with Grub2, and is probably not applicable to the
system docs, except maybe a small blurb in the serverguide. If there
is specific material you think should be in the docs, please feel free
to present it.

In short, I suggest keeping most of the Grub2 material here [1].
as usual, the ugly head of grub has once again raised its head. There

I'm still unsure what has been decided upon for writing wiki pages,
community documents, manual pages etc., but while the discussion goes

I am told that there is no prior case of a wiki page being
replaced by the community document, but in this case I think it is a
candidate. I understand that 'Rocket' is involved more closely from my
enquiries. As the version of grub2 for 9.10 is different to that for
10.04 LTS (Raid support being one obvious difference, along with it
coinciding with Win7 having a big fall out) and grub2 for 10.10 looks
like being different again, herding everything into one area does, to
me, make sense as when you have a grub problem, you sure do need a 'one
stop shop' for help.
