I am far from an expert in ubuntu and the learning time was considerable - the problem I had with some HowTo blogs was they didn't explain why I had to do things so I have included my learnings - perhaps not quite the format required? ... a little waffly perhaps?? 2. Due to my lack of experience is there any printer expert that could take a glance at the doc and check there's nothing incorrect in there in terms of understanding?? 3. When I have answers to 1) and 2) my next step would be to put a link from the following page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardwareSupportComponentsPrinters/CanonPrinters Is this reasonable??
