Moving the Ubuntu Wiki to Mediawiki or something else?

Hello everyone,

Currently, the Ubuntu Wiki is based in moinmoin, which is a slow 
platform due to several reasons. I know there's a lot of people who are 
trying to use the platform, but get stuck due to timeout errors and such.

There's some people who are evaluating the option to move the wiki 
outside moinmoin, and have suggested Mediawiki. However, I wanted to get 
the feel of both the community team and the docs team before opening an 
RT and starting the process.

What would you think about this change? Would you say it's gonna help in 
terms of wiki usability? Is there any other platform you would suggest 
instead of Mediawiki? (preferrably open source).
