Note that one time Peter M. setup a separate "Serverguide" helpers team, with a related e-mail list. To the best of my knowledge
it has never been used.

Gunnar, note also: Our e-mail saga of the last two days isn't desktop specific (I'll be starting an on-list thread on that one
shortly). We did not know (well O.K. I should have known / remembered) that it would be a saga when we started.

Peter M. also got Ubuntu forums to broaden one sub-forum, and it is now called "Documentation and Community Wiki Discussions". It
is almost never used. I would suggest it as a venue for some of these threads.

This e-mail list is not actually very busy. Myself, I wouldn't be opposed to just having these type of threads on this list.
