ubuntu 14.04 freeze

Hello,

My natural language is not English so forgive my errors. 
I upgraded ubuntu version 12.04 to 14.04 and, as I have Windows installed alongside Linux, I had to fix the grub (It went directly to Windows everytime I turn on my computer). After that I was able to choose to enter to Ubuntu 14.04 but unfortunally, as I try to log in the screen freezes and does not let me do anything (keyboard and mouse not working). The only option I’m left with is to manually turn off the computer).
