My comments on those:
#2 (scaling on a per-monitor basis): Let's await Stephen's comments.
#3 (input source concept): That's a substantial change for those
affected, so I for one think it should stay.
#9 (remote login): Not sure. How important is that feature?

Personally I think you are right. It's there for now merely because it
was there in 12.10 - 13.10. What do others say?
