Hi,

I agree with the other replies, and defer specifically to the input from
Pasi (Xubuntu).

Jack: Please do the following:

. Join "Ubuntu Documentation Contributors", which is an open team. I realize
that you are a member of the Xubuntu doc team, but you should also be a
member of this team (although I do notice that Pasi isn't, so I guess this
request is optional) Ref: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-doc-contributors

. Apply to join "Ubuntu Documentation Committers", which is the restricted
team being discussed herein, and one of us will approve it. Ref:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-doc

. Doug

Subject: Application for Membership in Ubuntu Documentation Committers

Hello,

I would like to apply for membership in ~ubuntu-core-doc.

I have been a member of the Xubuntu Documentation Team since September,
2012.
I was accepted as a Xubuntu Team member in July, 2013.

I have read the System Documentation, the Bug Control page and all links,
the Style Guide, and am quite comfortable with DocBook.

I also:
- Contributed several sections to the Xubuntu Offline Documentation Rewrite
project in September, 2012.
- Wrote nine testcases for the QA manual testcase rewrite project in June,
2013.
- Had six merge proposals accepted for the Saucy documentation cycle.
- Did all of the merge proposals for the Precise SRU documentation update
and helped test the patch.
- Contributed new upstream Xfce documentation for Parole and Xfdesktop.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to review my application.

Regards,
