Hi Martin,

 

Please know that the serverguide quick start and contribution table web page
[2] was originally created by Peter Matulis. I just try to help Peter
maintain it. I found it invaluable when I first was getting started trying
to help contribute via the serverguide project. I still find it invaluable,
and refer it almost daily. Thanks to Peter for such a succinct, yet
thorough, basic page for the serverguide project.

 

The "kick start" part of the serverguide page is covered by the new "getting
started" page for the DeskTop help [1]. (At least that was the hope when
Benjamin Kerensa started the new page during the last cycle.)

 

Myself, I had thought of the serverguide Contribution table and the google
document list as similar. A small group of us did have a continued debate
via e-mail after the meeting about the use of the google page verses
something else. Perhaps that debate should have occurred on this list (it is
my fault that it didn't). One plus for continuing with the google page is
that during peak times, the ability for multiple to edit at the same time
was considered important (The serverguide should be so lucky as to suffer
from multiple people wanting to edit the wiki at the same time).
