Project Based on Ubuntu

Hello Doc Team,

I was wondering if it is possible to use Ubuntu Wiki Pages to document
project based on Ubuntu?
Or, Ubuntu Wiki Area is ONLY for Ubuntu and Official Flavors of Ubuntu?

Please advise :)

Also (not sure if this is the right place to ask this), what about
Launchpad? if I have a new project based on Ubuntu, I know I can use
Launchpad but can I use the mailing list feature if that project not an
official flavor of Ubuntu but 100% based on it?
