I have looked at the css and not seen any easy-to-spot css error, so I
made a page on the wiki to check the issue and see if I understood the
issue and could repeat it.
So far, I cannot repeat the error.

Using the light theme doesn't cause any problems with italics there.
Classic, modern and light all run properly.
