I think it is better to ask the list if you think there might be  a security issue.  As you pointed out off-list there were a few indicators that there could have been trouble lurking in there but that just happens sometimes anyway.

Yep, in Firefox I looked at it using "View Page Source".

I ran them both through Jotti and Virus Total and neither detected
anything.
