That would mean that we should start a "soft string freeze", whereby
we can continue to add strings over the next two weeks or so, but we
should only change existing strings extremely sparingly if it is
absolutely necessary to fix a problem. Bear in mind that a string
change means potentially that a translation of the previous string is
wasted work.
The next couple of weeks' work would focus on finishing off the
"stub", "draft" or "incomplete" pages. Then we would have a "hard
string freeze" in a couple of weeks whereby we stop working completely
on the natty docs for the time being.
Does anyone have a problem with this timing?

Would this be a good time for a request from LibreOffice Documentation Team?
They have a lot of work to do in a hurry and very few people actively working in
their team.
Ideally i think they need about 3 or 4 people from here. Enough to make a
significant difference without swamping their team.

temporarily, just send a blank message to;

Notice the "documentation+" part gets missed off some emailing systems but it's
a vital part of the address.

I think most of the work is removing OpenOffice branding and replacing or adding
new screen-shots of the updated UI in Ubuntu. The OpenOffice docs were
originally written by the community and released under copyleft agreements and
are mostly reasonably up-to-date. The changes in LibreOffice are mostly
under-the-bonnet or additions to functionality rather than radical changes to
stuff that already existed. The aim is to race through quickly to get a first
release out there and then return to do tidy-up more leisurely for subsequent
releases of the docs.
LibreOffice Documentation Team settled on Alfresco rather than Mallard and
people joining the team even temporarily need to ask their list for a login to
the Alfresco website. I think it is a type of Content Management System
allowing people to edit the documents using their own tools (LO Writer is
recommended ;) lol ) and then it's easy to upload the documents back to the next
stage such as the pending review section. They have just completed a rough
guide on work-flow to help people joining their team.
I realise this is quite a cheeky request especially as i am only a lurker on
this list and their's so i apologise for this request. Ubuntu Translators often
find it better to work upstream to make their own work-flow easier and i hoped
the same might be true for Ubuntu Documentation.
