Thanks for taking a look at this.

As for the copyright issue, even if the content is noted as being
copyrighted, it's still ok to contact the author and ask them if they would
be willing to have their content included in the docs. They would just need
to allow that portion of content to be licensed under our documentation
license, which is the Creative Commons CC-by-SA 3.0 License [0].

We can provide attribution in the docs, pointing people to where we got that
information.

If they say No, though, the information would have to be rewritten if we
wanted to include it in our documentation.
