Last minute polishing of the announce and release notes...

Hi,
   I've posted the Beta 2 release notes draft:

If anyone has suggestions on tightening up the language
and flow of them,  input is certainly appreciated.
Both are under version control, so feel free to edit
into the document directly if you feel strongly about
something. 

Announce will be going out in a couple of hours,  but anything not
received in time,  will be looked at for inclusion in the
formal announce.
