I don't think that is a good solution. I would take a different approach:
SomeTopic - generic info about the tool, etc etc
SomeTopic/Hardy - specific info to Hardy
SomeTopic/Karmic - specific info to Karmic
Good thing is, only need to tag a particular page as EOL (when the
distro reaches it).
I took this approach for EOLUpgrades and it works for me.
