The words "and Support" were added in Ubuntu 7.04, in exchange for
removing separate "Community Support" and "Paid Support" menu items. The
rationale was that people won't know whether they need support (whether
community or paid) until they find out that the help doesn't answer

Without those words, it might not be obvious that you can access support
from that menu item.

There are not any studies on this, as far as I know. But I think that
help is not (or should not) be seen as an "application", but rather as
an integral part of the environment.
