Sorry for not addressing your points head on in my most recent email,
and I am sorry if my tone was strident, but we've already stated our
positions.
Regarding our positions, it seems to comes down to a clash between an
important guiding principle (developer-related content goes on the
website and desktop help goes in Ubuntu Help Center) and what I consider
the important goal of getting basic info about how to get source code
into everyone's hands who has Ubuntu running, which means it has to be
localized, which means it can't go on the website or wiki since they are
not localized.
It comes down to balancing these and making a decision. I respectfully
defer to your view on this. I will evaluate adding it to wiki.ubuntu.com.
