I have a similar story. The guy who introduced to to Linux was studying RedHat and so he gravitated toward Fedora and I ended up putting Fedora on my machine without much persuasion. I will be studying RedHat unless I get shipped off with the Navy soon so I may be switching soon. Take Care.

My name is Zach Oglesby, I have been using Linux since 2001 and have
played with Ubuntu off and on for some time. For about the last year I
have been working on the Fedora Docs team on things like the release
notes for Fedora 11, and a revised version of the readme-buring-iso
document. I would like to help with Ubuntu documentation as I am using
Ubuntu more often and would like to give back some. I am familiar with
Docbook and can use bzr (I would not consider myself an expert with it
but I can use it).

Welcome to the team, I spent some time looking into fedora docs as well
before switching over to Ubuntu docs as well. You dont have to be an expert
with bzr before you start contributing. right now we are going through the
Jaunty docs and making sure any bugs are fixed within the Karmic branch. A
good way to start is to find bugs or problems and submit them to launchpad.
Also a patch can be submitted there as well if you would like to create the
patch.

Spend time iwth the mailing list as well and learn the quirks of working
with this group of fun people.

Welcome aboard,

Jonahtan

Hi Glen,

Thanks I've patched that now. Did you submit another patch?
