+1.

One of the problem , is that non-technical user doesnt find it easy to
quickly shift to Ubuntu, the user is either searching for items they are
used to like My computer,MY...,RecycleBin/Installing programs from other
repos ...

Ideally a list needs to be formed of all the commonly asked questions,
when showing a non-technical user with the Ubuntu system.

Something Like a "Familiarize yourself to Ubuntu" menu item in the
System menu:

1: User chooses which system they have used previously[Windows/Apple],
then Slideshow becomes more specific to showing the basic differences ,
similar software locations.
Including a glossary of the terms from the other OS matching them to
UBUNTU, in case the user doesnt have the patience to go through the
slideshow again

2: Slideshow needs to be in sections, rather than a full single length
show. So that the user can view the features he is more interested
about. this is best achieved if the slideshow is interactive.

This creates user interaction, keeping the user more interested in what
he is viewing.

3: Something similar to this
http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/143396/linux_replacements_for_your_favorite_windows_apps.html
 showing list of similar softwares...
Since some users just know the program names, rather than the type of
files the programs use.

4: If the user has not viewed though the whole slideshow during
install[not sure if this can be logged], the slideshow should be the
first thing that greets the user the first time he starts the system...

5: If new features are added in the release, the slideshow should have a
section "New Features". this is especially for the new features like
notify-osd where the user do not expect the bubble to disappear and
wonder if something is wrong!. this new feature should be explained ,
saying that the user can click through. Ideally a clip of the new
behavior is more informative.

To sum up the slideshow needs to the first thing the user is greeted
with in the new system, *so that even a non-technical user can install*
and *start using the fresh system with no help whatsoever* .
