The mentoring is usually pretty informal. We're happy for you to just
find a task that you enjoy, and we can help you get to grips with any of
the tools and processes that you need to complete it. If you run into
problems or get lost, just get in touch with me and I'll help you
through.

If you'd like to work on reviewing/editing the documentation, a good
place to start is here [1]. Once you've found something that needs to be
changed, you can submit your suggested changes in plain text and someone
else will incorporate them into the documentation for you. Once you're
familiar with the documentation, you can then start preparing patches
yourself if you like (though it's not compulsory) [2].
