Hi All,
Syntex has released their (formerly freeware) XML editor as Free
software under the GPLv3+exceptions. In looking over the license, it
appears as their the terms would allow for redistribution in Ubuntu
and other distros, as this license is similar to that used by MySQL.
Here's some info on the features: http://syntext.com/products/serna/features/
and on the license: http://syntext.com/downloads/serna-free/
Are there any packaging nerds who could let us know whether this would
be difficult to package? We'd have to package DITA, which isn't
currently in the repos. (And Nathan Handler keeps telling me to let
Debian package DITA.) :-) I'm not sure if the other dependency
versions would create problems, either... For the record, it's a C++ /
Qt app, so yeay for all of the Kubuntu/KDE folks. :-)
Jim
