use of alerts on the help wiki

I've uploaded the macro code to my bzr branch for the new theme here:

I've made a few tweaks to reduce the size of the alert box and
standardise the width (amended screenshot -
http://doc.ubuntu.com/~mdke/alerts.png)

I'd quite like to align the text to the left but couldn't figure out
how to do this (my css is terrible). Any takers?
