GUI for documentation, good or bad?

I believe such a box requires JavaScript. From what I've been able to
find out in my searches, it doesn't seem to be possible because it
would be a security risk to embed JavaScript code in a page.
You've got a couple of options, though. You can use this method:

Insert code here.
}}}
Or you can create a separate (sub)page that contains the material
you'd put in the box and then put a link to that (sub)page on the
parent page. This is probably the best solution if your concern is
how much space the contents of the box would take up on the page.
