Hi,
The documentation provides a good overview of the what is suppose to
happen during suspend/hibernate.
A review of the comments from the Ubuntu Forums and Ubuntu Brainstorm
people who have an issue with suspend/hibernate don't know where to
begin to try to solve the issue. The documentation provides two
suggestions:
Check the test report for your laptop, if one has been made (see
Section 3.4 ? Finding laptop testing reports).
Ask for assistance through an Ubuntu support channel.
I would like to suggest that the following suggestions be added to the
documentation:
Use Update Manager to check for updates
Check that you have the latest drivers for your video card installed
Upgrade to the latest version of Ubuntu
I also have a question about the Laptop Testing Team. Is this team
still in operation? The pages don't seem to have been updated for
awhile?
Also should a mention be made of the use of restricted video drivers?
I know that I resolved my issue by using the restricted drivers?
