Hi John,
Welcome to the zoo :) I'm a member of the Doc Students team so I
understand your enthusiasm. There are a lot of things you can do to help
on the documentation. A bunch of us came from the Ubuntu Forums Beginner
Team and we are working on cleaning up the Community Wiki. If you are
interested in helping out there we could gladly use the help.
If you are interested in working on the system documentation there are
some folks that can get you started. I'm pretty new at this all too, so
I'll leave it to the more experienced folks to get you up and running.
