The KVM page is one of the best examples of how to configure a bridge in all
of ubuntu. I use that page as reference and refer people to it all the time.
Works for not only KVM but also Virtualbox.

"auto" and "iface" are not commands, they are configuration options.

Ref.: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/KVM

The section "Creating a network bridge on the host" calls for the use
of two commands, "auto" and "iface", that I cannot find either in my
Ubuntu 8.04 machine (which has quite a few installed packages) or by
Google search.

I suggest upgrade of the documentation and request advise towards
making KVM usable.

Best wishes, Henry
