Hi Sean,

If you are interested in working on a list of reccommended applications, 
you might want to look here:

Note that this page isn't intended to be a list of all recommended 
applications, but is instead meant as a page of less well known apps 
which users might not have heard of. It's designed for more advanced users.

The page contains a link to a forum thread which I've been drawing on 
for ideas.
