64bit processors & Firefox & Plugin

Looks like the problem solved itself, here's a PM from my friend...
"I finally got Nexus (the java applet that was desperately needed) working
in Ubuntu. Last night about about....3 am (my most productive hour) I was
sitting there letting random thoughts just flow through my brain, and it
suddenly occured to me: after I installed the 32-bit version of Firefox and
the Java that goes with it, I opened the 64-bit version of Firefox to test
it out, and that's why it didn't work. So, after I got my precious 6 hours
of sleep, I opened Ubuntu, opened the terminal, did 'Firefox32 &', the
32-bit version of Firefox opened, and Java worked!"
So I guess I'll edit the page, saying that by default, the 64bit version of
firefox still launches - they'd need to do Firefox32 & in the terminal if
they want the 32 bit.
Or, is there a way to make 32bit firefox default? If there is, then that
would be much easier.
