I don't have a copy of the Official Ubuntu book myself, so I don't know
what level it's pitched at currently. However, unless it's being
specifically marketed as a book for _complete_ beginners, you probably
shouldn't lower the level as this will inhibit other readers.

What user group(s) did you target the book at?
