Desktop Customization - Splash Screens

Hello,

What does everyone think about adding splash screen customizations to help
files? I've searched in built-in help files and on help.ubuntu.com, nothing
came up. The forums offered some information, and I found some information

This definitely should be easier to stumble upon, especially if someone is
browsing the customization section :)
