Dear sers,
i trayed to install Ubuntu7.4 on the hard disk of my PC(AMD 1.2 Mh, 512 Mb ram, CD-DVD-RW) and everything has gone OK, but I could'nt get no one of the twoThe modems  to work. The modem's models are the following:
    -Digicom motticelli USB external modem;
    -WebRunner PCI internal modem from AtlantisLand with drivers CD for Suse 8.0, Red Hat 5.0 and mandrake 8.2. and generic for kernel 4.2.
. I am a Windows user an not at all experiensed wth command lines of Linux as I realized surfing across Linux sites, and all i trayed to do with the Linux command line has gone wrong.
Could you be so kind an good to give me ani hint that can help me to see what best to do.
