Wiki Subscriptions

Wow, the only thing I could think of that would possibly work would be to 
create a user with the mailing list address and then use that username to log 
in to the wiki, go to user preferences, and set up the Subscribe wiki pages 
section.

I don't know if there is a way to do it behind the scenes though, maybe the 
server/wiki admin would know?
