wireless network pc card

Hi,

    I am new to Ubuntu/linux, I had gotten the Ubuntu 5.10 cd to start to learn the system.
How do I get the wireless pc card on the laptop that I installed Ubuntu on to work?  Ubuntu
sees it as a Linksys but can't us it.?!  Don't know if I can use the CD that came with it to load
drivers or not.  I have looked on help.ubuntu.com 5.10, but couldn't find any think about it.
