Hi,

If the forums were willing to give the documentation team a forum
(synched with the mailing list, perhaps with a couple of sticky threads
about how to join the team and contribute), do you think that would be a
good idea?

If so, should it be read-only or should it be possible to post to the
mailing list from within the forum?

Personally, I think it would be a good idea for encouraging forum users
to contribute to the project rather than others, and I think it would be
ok to allow users to post to the mailing list from the forum.
