3 xubuntu patches

it's lovely, the about patch was a little gimpy though, your home directory
was still listed, it caused me worlds pain but now i know how to fix it :)

only one comment, a little more explanation of what sudo is and why it
exists might be useful for people switching from windoze, just a thought
