Excellent question. You can still run validate.sh, just specific the
path to it, for example:

$ /home/matt/ubuntu/ubuntu-doc/trunk/validate.sh userguide.xml

Instead of doing "bzr diff" to create the patch, you can use "bzr
commit", followed by "bzr bundle > mypatch.diff" to create your patch,
it will mean that your revision history will be preserved so you'll be
credited for the patch.
