ubuntu-banner.xsl vs. xubuntu-html-chunk-cust.xsl

hi,

I can't seem to get the Xubuntu Desktop Guide to build correctly anymore.

At some point before the release of dapper, the stylefile was changed from
xubuntu-html-chunk-cust.xsl to ubuntu-banner.xsl

with this banner-xsl, the guide won't build for me anymore on edgy 
(works on dapper). it will build fine with xubuntu-html-chunk-cust.xsl. 
can someone explain to me what the banner-xsl is for, and whether i'm 
supposed to be using it or not? i saw that the file is nearly empty.
