Hi,

A user from the ubuntuforums.org suggested to me that we could segment
the dial up howto wiki page into categories per modem type and / or per
installed ubuntu version.

So the main page would only have the "table of contents" links and those
would send people to exactly the sections they need (which will be
separate wiki web pages).

The wiki as it is now is very bloated, and I'm sure it is causing all
sorts of troubles to dial up users who are trying to get dial up
working. I know from experience that while on dial up, the page takes
too long to load and if you want to edit it, uhm, well, ouch...

It is also very hard to edit in practical terms (it takes me a couple of
minutes just to *find* the place I need to edit, especially if it's a
minor edit like fixing a typo...).

What are your thoughts? I hope you'll accept the idea.

Thank you very much.

PS. The page in question is:

Please scan all attachments for viruses.
Or (though you might like Rodin) you might as well avoid "The Gates of
Hell" and use Linux.
