Running Ubuntu Live CD

I recently downloaded the iso files to make a Live CD
from the Ubuntu website and burned them to a cd to
check out the Ubuntu operating system. I am running
Windows XP. I put the cd in my computer and change my
bios to boot from cd, but nothing happens. I don't
know what I am doing wrong.
