I agree that it will probably be less confusing to ship one document.

Yes, or alternatively not use them. The desktop guide is fairly complete
already, as far as I can see, so any integration you do is a bonus, rather than
a necessity, in my opinion. It's obviously hard to do a large scale integration
of two documents so close to a freeze.
