Ok, I've done a fair amount of hacking around on this. What I have done
is basically this:

* Moved most of the stuff to subpages of DocumentationTeam.
* combined some pages so that there is a simpler structure to things.
You can get an idea of the basic structure from
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam/talk?action=show
* Deleted a lot of old pages. I've been quite robust about this, I've
used redirects on a number of popular pages, but have just deleted quite
a lot of pages. If I've gone too far, we can always insert redirects I
suppose, but it's nice to keep things as clean as possible.

I have done a bit of rewriting, but a lot of the pages still need plenty
of work in order to make things coherent. In general, new users should
be pointed at:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam/GettingStarted

and things should work from there.
