Hi Will, (cc:ing to ubuntu-doc)

We don't seem to have the same irc timetables, so I keep seeing
questions of your in the channel that I'd like to reply to when I arrive
later on, but you've already left.

Feel free to idle in #ubuntu-doc even if you're not at your computer (if
that's a possibility for you).

14:54:29 < willvdl> hey folks,
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EdubuntuFaq is an Italian translation
of the Edubuntu FAQ.
14:54:39 < willvdl> Is it really in the right place?

Nope, it's not. The current mechanism for translation of most Ubuntu
websites (except help.ubuntu.com, and I'd like that to change too) is
via the locoteams websites. In this case, the appropriate place to point
users to is http://www.ubuntu-it.org (we have a small Edubuntu team, and
are keen to attract new Edubuntu contributors).

15:06:45 < willvdl> I see some of the LoCo teams are doing parallel
translations: e.g. https://wiki.edubuntu.org/ItalianRedirect
15:06:55 < willvdl> must be a tonne of work

That isn't maintained - we simply inserted redirects when we moved all
the Italian documentation from the main wiki to the Italian wiki, 18
months ago or so. All new documents are created on the Italian website.

Matt
