I'm not sure if you're making a point about improving the topic based
sandbox, if you are, can you be clearer about what you'd change?

If you're asking about why it doesn't tell you which xml file the error
is when you validate the handbook, it's because you're using entities to
include the separate files. Try using xincludes and it will work better.
