To branch or not to branch

Hi,

About this time last release cycle we branched the repo. Are we going to
do it again? I don't really know much about this, so I'm cc:ing Daniel.

I suppose we should go for it if people want to crack on and start doing
some dapper+1 docs action in the repo. Also, it would save us from
uploading translations to trunk and cleaning them afterwards.
Disadvantages might include having to merge back any post-freeze fixes
done in the branch (or alternatively do the fixes in both places at the
same time).

Any views on this?

Matt
